Dear Friends of Snodgrass Mountain,

Now that Jim Peña--Deputy Regional Forester and appeals officer--has rendered his decision, upholding Charlie Richmond's decision to reject the Snodgrass proposal, we need your support one more time and ask that you let Chief Tom Tidwell know that you support Peña's decision. Per the GMUG press release, "By regulation, the Forest Service Chief has 15 days in which to decide if he will review the appeal decision. If reviewed, a decision will be rendered within 30 days. The Chief’s review will be the final decision for the Department of Agriculture." Please write to Chief Tidwell (as well as the US Department of Agriculture, USFS Officials, and your elected officials) to let them know you support both Jim Peña's decision and the November 5, 2009 decision by the USFS to reject CBMR's proposal to develop Snodgrass Mountain with lift-served skiing. It is important for the lift-free Snodgrass community to speak out! SEND IT TODAY!
